Burials & Biographies

This section of the Sandgate Cemetery Project documents individual burials, biographical histories, headstone inscriptions, and associated archival records. Each entry is constructed using primary documentary evidence, supported by secondary historical sources, and formatted according to APA 7 citation standards.

Early Interments (1881–1890)

This subsection records the earliest known burials following the opening of Sandgate Cemetery in September 1881. Entries include funeral notice references, denominational allocation (where known), and contextual historical interpretation.
